Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 July 2026
forksplorer is currently a pre-launch waitlist. These terms cover the site as it exists today and the scanner/API service as it rolls out. By using forksplorer.com or joining the waitlist, you agree to the terms below.
1. The service
forksplorer scans publicGitHub repositories and their fork graphs to surface unmerged features, AI-generated summaries, diffs, and cherry-pick instructions. Repo pages (forksplorer.com/{owner}/{repo}) are free to browse. We also plan to offer API and MCP access for developers and AI agents.
2. No warranty on AI output
Summaries, feature descriptions, and apply instructions are generated by AI models on a best-effort basis. They are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or safe to apply as-is. Always review a diff yourself before merging, cherry-picking, or deploying it. We are not liable for damages arising from code you apply based on our summaries.
3. Source data & attribution
All data we display originates from public GitHub repositories and is attributed to the original authors and forks. forksplorer does not claim ownership of any code, diff, or commit it displays. If you are a repo or fork owner and want your fork excluded from scanning or display, email [email protected] and we will action the request.
4. Waitlist
Joining the waitlist via the mailto link sends us an email with your address and any repos you mention. We will send at most one email when we launch — no newsletter, no third-party sharing of your email.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use forksplorer to scrape or republish our scan results at scale without permission, to circumvent GitHub’s own terms of service, or to misrepresent AI-generated summaries as verified fact.
6. Changes
We may update these terms as the product moves from waitlist to launch (accounts, billing, API access). Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
